After a busy summer filled with events, activities, and visitors, fall brings a welcome change of pace to Carlton Landing. The days grow shorter, the weather turns cooler, and we find ourselves with a little more time to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple things before the holiday season begins.
It’s the perfect time for Friendsgiving, a celebration of the people, friendships, and traditions that make Carlton Landing such a special place to call home.
On Saturday, November 21, 2026, the Carlton Landing Foundation invites neighbors, friends, and families to come together for two meaningful gatherings that celebrate the spirit of our community.
Honoring a Tradition: Community Tree Building Day
Saturday, November 21 | 2:00–4:00 PM | Town Green
For years, the Carlton Landing bonfire tree has been a special part of our holiday celebrations. Each year, neighbors gather around the towering wooden structure as it lights up the evening sky, marking a memorable moment in our community’s holiday season.
But long before the fire is lit, there’s a story worth celebrating.
The tradition of building the bonfire tree began with members of our community who gave their time, energy, and creativity to create something special for everyone to enjoy. Over the years, others have stepped in to help keep that tradition alive.
This year, we’re inviting the entire community to become part of that story.
Our first Community Tree Building Day is an opportunity to lend a hand, learn about the history of the bonfire tree, and recognize the neighbors who started and continue this beloved tradition.
Whether you’re helping stack wood, sharing memories, or simply stopping by to enjoy the afternoon, there’s a place for everyone. We’ll have cider, snacks, and a chance to look back at photos and stories from years past.
We hope this gathering becomes a new tradition of its own, bringing generations of neighbors together to celebrate the history of Carlton Landing while helping carry it into the future.
Gathering Around the Table: Friendsgiving Community Dinner
Saturday, November 21 | 5:30–7:30 PM | Pop-Up Shops Lawn
As evening arrives, we’ll continue another favorite Carlton Landing tradition: our annual Friendsgiving Community Dinner.
There’s something special about gathering around a table with neighbors. Familiar faces reconnect, new friendships begin, and conversations unfold over a shared meal.
Friendsgiving is a chance to set aside our busy schedules and simply enjoy being together.
We’ll gather on the Pop-Up Shops lawn for an evening of good food, live music, and conversation. As a community potluck, everyone is invited to bring a favorite dish to share and enjoy the warmth and hospitality that make these gatherings so memorable.
Whether you’ve been part of Carlton Landing for years or are joining us for the first time, there’s always room at the table.
Celebrating What Makes Carlton Landing Home
What makes Friendsgiving special isn’t just the food on the table or the events on the calendar. It’s the people who show up, the neighbors who lend a hand, the stories we share, and the traditions we continue together.
From building the bonfire tree in the afternoon to gathering around the dinner table that evening, November 21 is about celebrating the many ways our community comes together.
These moments remind us that a strong community is built through simple acts of kindness, shared experiences, and a willingness to make time for one another.
Because Friendsgiving is more than a meal. It’s about sharing our time, honoring our history, welcoming new friends, and continuing the traditions that make Carlton Landing feel like home.
We hope you’ll join us for both gatherings as we celebrate the season and, most importantly, each other.
We can’t wait to gather with you on November 21st!
