Become a Vendor

Interested in joining the Carlton Landing Pop-Up Shops? We’re always excited to discover vendors who bring something special to the market.

The Pop-Up Shops are a curated market, with vendors selected based on product quality, variety, and overall presentation. We are intentional about creating a market that feels welcoming, cohesive, and reflective of the Carlton Landing experience.

Vendor Selection

Products

We look for quality, originality, and variety. Preference is given to handmade, locally produced, thoughtfully sourced, or distinctive products that contribute something unique to the overall market. Counterfeit merchandise, “dupes,” and products that imitate protected brands are not permitted. Products should also be appropriate for a family-friendly community setting.

Your Space Is Your Storefront

Presentation is an important part of the Pop-Up Shops experience. Whether you are setting up in a tent, shed, or food truck, your space should feel like a small, intentional storefront—not simply a place to display inventory. We look for displays that are polished, inviting, and thoughtfully styled from the shopper’s point of view. Products should be intentionally merchandised using displays, shelving, racks, signage, linens, or other elements appropriate to your brand.
Vendors must create a space that represents their brand well and contributes to the overall look and feel of the market.

The Overall Mix

Acceptance is based on more than an individual application. We also consider the overall mix of products, similar vendors already scheduled, available space, and the needs of each market. Being accepted as a Pop-Up Shops vendor does not guarantee placement at every requested market.

Oklahoma Sales Tax Certificate Requirement

All vendors are required to maintain a valid Oklahoma Sales Tax Certificate to participate in the Carlton Landing Pop-Up Shops. The Foundation will process the required Town of Carlton Landing Business Certificate on your behalf. Vendors must provide a current Oklahoma Sales Tax Certificate during the application process and submit updated documentation upon expiration to remain eligible for participation.

Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable sales taxes in accordance with state and local laws.

FAQs

How many vendor spaces are available?

Our Pop-Up Shops feature 10 sheds, one of which is reserved for Foundation staff to share information about our work in the community.

Our market layouts vary based on anticipated guest attendance:

  • Standard Weekends: 9 vendor sheds + 10 tent spaces. Eight tents are arranged in a single row along the center of the Pop-Up Green, with two additional spaces west of Shed L.
  • Holiday Weekends: 9 vendor sheds + 18 tent spaces. Sixteen tents are arranged in two back-to-back rows along the center of the Pop-Up Green, with two additional spaces west of Shed L.

Occasionally, we may accommodate additional vendors in other locations, such as the Festival Lawn, depending on the activities scheduled that day.

Our goal is to match vendor participation with anticipated shopper traffic, creating a positive experience for both vendors and guests. These layouts allow us to adjust capacity based on expected attendance, with room to grow as demand increases.

How many people come to the Pop-Up Shops?

Attendance varies significantly depending on the weekend, season, weather, and other community activities. As a lake community, Carlton Landing experiences higher guest traffic during holidays and peak travel weekends, while standard weekends may have a smaller, more relaxed shopping atmosphere.

While our attendance may be lower than that of larger markets, shopper engagement and purchasing potential are just as important as foot traffic. Carlton Landing attracts homeowners and visitors who appreciate unique products, quality craftsmanship, and thoughtfully curated shopping experiences.

Vendors who offer products that appeal to our audience, create inviting displays, and actively engage with shoppers can have very successful markets, even on lower-traffic weekends.

When are the Pop-Up Shops open?

The Carlton Landing Pop-Up Shops operate seasonally, with market dates and hours varying throughout the year. Our schedule is published on a rolling 12-month basis.

For upcoming dates and hours, visit our Pop-Up Shops Schedule.

Is electricity available at every shed?

No. Electricity is available through shared banks of outlets, not individual outlets at each shed. Vendors should bring their own extension cords.

Electrical use is limited to essential business needs, such as lighting and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Heaters, portable air conditioners, generators, and other high-power equipment are not permitted.

Battery-operated alternatives are welcome and encouraged.

Can trailer vendors participate?

No. At this time, we are unable to accommodate trailer vendors due to space limitations, accessibility, and logistical considerations within our market areas.

We welcome vendors who can operate within our designated shed or tent spaces and encourage interested businesses to explore these options.

Can I rent a shed for the entire season?

No. Sheds are booked by individual market date rather than rented for the entire season. Vendors are welcome to request multiple dates, subject to availability and approval. This allows us to maintain a curated variety of vendors and provide opportunities for different businesses to participate throughout the season.

Do you book multiple vendors selling similar products?

Yes, but we carefully curate our markets to offer a diverse selection of products and shopping experiences. While some overlap between vendors is expected, we consider product categories, variety, and the overall vendor mix when approving bookings. Our goal is to create a balanced market that benefits both vendors and shoppers.

Can I book every weekend?

No. We rotate our vendor lineup each weekend to offer shoppers a fresh variety of products and provide opportunities for different businesses to participate.

If you’re interested in attending additional markets, we can add you to our on-call list to fill openings as they become available. Please note that notice may be as short as the day before the market.
