Freedom Fest Bike Parade
July 5, 2025 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Meet us at the Pavilion Park on July 5th at 5:30 PM for the Freedom Fest Children’s Bike Parade! You can decorate your own bike at home or join us at the decoration station, where we will provide supplies. Decorate your bikes and ride with friends and family!
The parade will leave promptly at 6:00 PM. See you there!
We hope the community will join us or cheer from their porches. We are sure to put on a show! The parade will be led by the Carlton Landing Volunteer Fire Department and their Fire Engine! The parade will be followed by Carlton Landing Foundation Staff to ensure a safe voyage!
For the safety of all cyclists, no motorized vehicles are allowed in the parade, however, golf carts are permitted to follow the parade and are encouraged to get decorated and join us! All golf cart drivers in Carlton Landing must hold a valid driver’s license—this includes during the parade. There are absolutely no exceptions.
Bike Parade Finish Line: The Foundation Tent!
The parade ends at the Foundation Tent on Water Street—your official finish line and celebration station!
When you arrive:
Park your bike in the “Bike Parade Parking” area.
Visit the Foundation Tent on the Festival Lawn for:
• Free water
• Fresh popcorn
• Temporary tattoos
Then stick around for live music, tasty food trucks, and shopping at the Pop-Up Shops! Let’s roll into the weekend with fun, freedom, and community spirit!
Bike Parade Safety Guidelines
To help ensure a fun and safe parade experience for everyone, please follow these important safety reminders:
- Young Riders: Children who cannot confidently ride the full route should have adult assistance or ride in a golf cart.
- Parade Route: The parade is approximately 0.64 miles long and includes an incline on Park Street. Please ensure your child is capable of completing the route safely.
- Stay in the Street: All riders must remain in the street for the entire parade.
- Do Not Pass the Firetruck: The firetruck will lead the parade. Do not pass it under any circumstances.
- No Sidewalk Riding: Participants must not exit the parade route to ride on sidewalks.
- Do Not Ride Back Up the Route: For everyone’s safety, do not turn around and ride back up the street where the parade is still in progress.
- Stick Together: Stay close to the group and help maintain a steady, safe pace.
- Leaving the Parade: If you need to leave the parade early, please exit safely via a cross street.

Golf Cart Participation Rules
To help keep the parade safe and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
- All golf cart drivers in Carlton Landing must hold a valid driver’s license—this includes during the parade. There are absolutely no exceptions.
- Golf carts will ONLY enter the parade after all bikers and walkers have begun.
- Drive 2×2: Golf carts must stay two across, side-by-side—not in long single-file lines or scattered groups.
- Stay Together: Please stay with the main parade group—no racing ahead or falling behind.
- No Passing: Do not pass other golf carts during the parade.
- Stay on Route: Remain on the designated parade path at all times.
- Decorate & Celebrate Safely: Feel free to decorate your cart, but ensure nothing blocks your view or becomes a hazard while driving.
- Leaving the Parade: If you need to leave the parade early, please exit safely via a cross street.
